Not worth itT-KaThis bed has been such a horrible experience. The screws are not long enough to connect the pieces. The measurements are off, and it's overall a nightmare to put together. I reached out to customer service; even though the rep was polite, my issues were not resolved. Would not buy this bed again.
Assembly is a nightmareJustinSteps 5 and 6 require you to fasten down two metal pins using their quarter turn lock nuts.
The problem is that the fit during this operation is very loose, and your assembly falls apart entirely at Step 10, where you're supposed to place bottom support beams below the assembly you created in Steps 5 and 6.
Whoever thought that this was a good idea should be sent to a different industry.
Missing pieceTamaraI give is 3 star because the head board does not attach to the frame of the bed. There was a piece missing in the assembly of the bedframe. Thanks goodness that my husband is handy and was able to place something in it place to have a functioning bedframe.
Peefect!RachelleThis is the perfect bed for our guest room. The queen size is great, plenty of storage for extra bedding and grandkids' toys, and the headboard storage is great for a place to store phones, wallets, and books. This was our first attempt at building Ikea and it was a fun project for my husband - think big boy legos, takes time but if you follow the pictures like they tell you it turns out beautifully.
Quality FrameAlanThe engineering and precision of the parts for this bed frame was impressive. Everything fit together exactly during assembly. The drawers work great; very smooth along the railings during opening and closing of the drawers. I only wish that the instructions pointing out the fact that the height of the lats is an option such that I can choose to have my mattress rest higher should I just had installed the frame a bit higher.

Teen boys roomSaraWe bought this bed to upgrade our son’s room for his teen years. It was nice being able to build it over 2 days since the headboard isn’t connected to the bed. Son loves it and all the storage he now has!

Plastic Cams Final StrawHenryI am not going to tell you to skip this bed. I am telling you to stop buying from Ikea. I have sadly built dozens of their products over the years. They were never great, but clever and cheap. Quality worsened over time, of course. But this bed was the last thing I will buy from them. Plastic cams are a bad idea and the quality is now so poor you can expect some of them to fail. I truly hope the management of Ikea lose their jobs, careers, and homes.
Lots of storageCaitlinThis bedframe is perfect for my studio apartment. It gives me lots of storage without taking up any extra space
Pretty decentCherylWe've had this for about 8 years, and it's decent. Solid construction, and no deterioration in all that time. The room is so small that the drawers can't open all the way, but that's not the bed's fault. However, the drawers sometimes come out of the track, and since they're so heavy and bulky, they're tough to feed back in. The headboard isn't attached, which is weird. For some reason the shelves don't go all the way down, so it's P-shaped with all the asymmetrical weight resting on a single point. It's bizarre and doesn't feel very safe. If the setup appeals to you, I'd recommend getting a bed with an attached flat headboard, then putting narrow bookcases behind it with a board across the top. If you have cats, beware that they can get behind the drawers, so don't leave them open unless you want to accidentally bowl some furry friends over with a giant drawer that weighs 10 times as much as they do. They also get into mischief inside the P-shaped opening in the headboard.
Great choice with tons of storageColeThis bed was the perfect replacement. the headboard doesn't take up much room but offers storage on the sides and on top as well. The bed looks great, is sturdy and the drawers below again offer tons of storage. The drawers are wide and deep. Easy to get a couple of blankets into and then some.

Good product, instructions need improvementRichardHeadboard design could be improved. The hardware to attach it to the wall needs to be spaced in intervals of 16" to be able to attach it securely to wall studs. I screwed a 1 x 2 to the studs and blocked access to the holes to run cords through.
On the bed instruction 32, it was hard to line up the screw and diagonal support because the the support was under the hardware it attached to.
On bed instruction 48, more detail of how to insert the drawer glides on the drawer to the glides attached to the frame.
Quality of product is good and looks good once you figure your way through the instructions.
It was a lesson in perseverance!
